As some of you may remember, last year John Cena’s brother, Dan Cena, was hit head-on by a Chevy S-10 being driven by a drunk driver. Well now over a year later Dan is recovering nicely and generously donating breathalyzers to the local police department he works for.

“My brother John was a heavyweight professional wrestler, so we held a wrestling event at Triton Regional High School. It raised $28,000 for alcohol education and drunk driving prevention. We gave $1,000 to Mothers Against Drunk Driving and $5,000 to the Trista Zinck Memorial Scholarship.”
Cena wanted to make sure the rest of the money raised also went to good use. He started bouncing ideas back and forth with Newbury Police Sgt. Patty Fisher.
“I came up with the idea of purchasing top quality breathalyzing equipment and donating it to area police forces, and ran that by her,” says Cena. “She agreed, so I drafted a letter to area police chiefs asking them if they would like free equipment.”
