John Cena

More on Cena vs The Rock · May 19, 02:58 PM by The Source

A bit of time has passed since The Sun published their interview with John Cena that started this controversy but it looks like the disagreement between the two is if anything, getting worse.

But to add more fuel to the fire The Sun has published yet another interview with Cena and once again this new feud with The Rock is center stage.

When asked about The Rocks “comments” made at a recent Hall of Fame ceremony, Cena had this to say:

“Rock is the ultimate entertainer and I most certainly deserved it, if Rock wanted to stand out there for two hours and make fun of me, he could do that. As long as he’s there. I just wish he would come by more often.”

“It’s hard when people give the impression of ‘this is the greatest gig in the world’ and then jump ship to movies. Now I have every interviewer asking me when I’m leaving WWE for films. And the answer is I’m never doing that, because I love wrestling more than I do movies.”

Thankfully they did talk about the filming of 12 Rounds which was wrapped up just this past Tuesday:

Towards the end of the movie, I was really getting frustrated. This film schedule we had meant I could only come back for TV and PPV shows, so I felt the rug had been pulled out from under me. Only on this week’s Raw, did I really feel that I was properly back.”

I should point out that in all interviews John Cena WAS asked to comment on the feud, however I am starting to think he should be backing down from these questions as he is really starting to come across in a negative light. Talking heads around the industry are starting to call his comments “jealous” and the average fan who doesn’t read the full interviews being posted around the net are starting to assume he is bringing it up and kicking this dead horse for far to long.

Interview with John Cena's Dad · May 4, 12:54 PM by The Source

For those of you who don’t remember, Johnny Fabulous is the stage name for John Cena Sr., back in his day he was actually a pretty successful wrestler.

Anyways “In Your Head Wrestling Online Radio” recently did an interview with Cena’s dad and here’s a run down of what they talked about:

The first caller asks what it is like to be the father of John Cena. Fabulous says it is like being a father to his other four kids.
Another caller asks how Fabulous, got his ring name “Johnny Fabulous”.

He explains that he need to find a name that got under the fans skin, so he used the common name of Johnny, and used Fabulous to make the name basically work.
Fabulous says that Ox Baker is a legend. Fabulous agrees that Baker knows how to sell his merchandise.

A caller asks how does Fabulous feel about his son, John Cena, get booed. Fabulous says that its apart of the sport. Fabulous says that he wouldn’t mind working as a heel manager, against his son.
Johnny Fabulous talks about worker “Big Business”, Fabulous believes that he will get called up to TNA or WWE, within six months to a year.

Johnny says when he landed right on top of his head thanks to Randy Orton wasn’t his worst bump. Instead, when he botched a move with a indy worker and cracked three ribs. Fabulous mentions other injuries which included concussion, broken ribs and a dislocated thumb.Johnny says that he can take some bumps in the ring, but not work as the wrestlers do.

A caller asks what wrestlers Johnny would like to manage. John Cena, HHH, Ric Flair, Shane McMahon, CM Punk, Mr. Kennedy, Jay Lethal, Abyss, Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarrett and Christopher Daniels are named Johnny says that he would like to comeback to the WWE and perhaps manage someone. Johnny says that if he could choose someone to manage during his feud with his son, would be HHH.

Johnny says that you will most likely never see him on TNA television. There is no affiliation with him and TNA. He works for WWE and NWF. “TNA is not for Johnny Fabulous.”

Johnny says that Samoa Joe versus John Cena would be a great match-up. Johnny doesn’t appreciate people who impersonate not only himself, but John Cena, and his other sons.

Johnny tells a story about how four people decided they wanted to fight Johnny Fabulous, but police got involved. He has been spat on, had beer thrown at him and even old women throwing beer and flipping him off at shows.

Johnny leaves the wrestling, to the wrestlers, but helps out with character development with a few wrestlers.

The Miami Herald managed to score a quick interview with John Cena outside the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.

John had nothing but good words to say about the event and the people attending saying:

“I love the Hall of Fame, it’s the one night of the year for all the people who made this business as great as it is to get together. ... For those who enjoy sports entertainment, I hold the Hall of Fame near and dear to my heart.”
