Last night’s Monday Night Raw event was quite… surprising.
To start the night off John Cena came out and publicly stated that Randy Orton was a worth challenger, but specifically compared last weeks “statement” (surprise RKO) delivered by Orton to the actions of his past challengers who like Orton started out strong but ended with Cena emerging victorious.
At this point Carlito entered the arena to claim that he and not Orton should be the SummerSlam challenger and had some stage hands bring out some brand new Carlito’s Cabana stage props onto the stage.
After a short but lively “interview” in the Cabana the nightly matches continued and as the main event Carlito got his wish and got a shot at John Cena, surprisingly even defeated him however only because Randy Orton distracted him for a few crucial seconds at the side of the ring.
What was truely messed up was Carlito spitting a half chewed apple into John’s face while he was still recovering in the ring.

In last nights main event match John Cena used his superior strength and heart to take a win in what was 1 vs 3 match against Umaga, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch.
Things started to look bleak near the end as the trio threw everything they had into smashing Cena again and again, while a very concerned looking Candice Michelle looked on.
Just as I thought the match was over Jeff Hardy entered the ring and attacked Umaga with a chair, this gave John the opening he was looking for and he quickly had Lance Cade thrown out of the ring and after pounding on Murdoch for a bit he pinned him with an FU to win the match.
Unfortunately as John Cena was celebrating Randy Orton entered the ring and snuck up behind him and took our Cena down with an RKO.
July 24 Monday Night Raw Screen Captures

This past Monday we didn’t get to see Cena compete however the WWE made a real effort to promote the upcoming Lashley Vs John Cena PPV fight.
Last nights appearance was very simular to the staged publicity events surrounding many boxing events, both Cena and Lashley got in the ring and traded barbs before getting a little physical, it’s not rocket science but it’ll sell tickets and PPV viewers.

Rumors are afloat that the WWE bosses are finally giving into pressure to take Cena’s title away at least temporarily to spice up the storyline a bit.

Last nights match was a “Beat the Clock” competition in which John Cena, Kennedy, Lashley and Shelton Benjamin battled it out for a special contract being awarded to who ever took out their opponent the fastest.

For tonight we have 120 screen captures from John Cena’s first match on ECW, pitted against Johnny Nitro the action was fast and furious with Cena managing to slowly build momentum and finally bring Nitro down with a STFU.
