John Cena

Cena Interviewed at WWE Hall of Fame ceremony · Apr 5, 04:07 PM by The Source

The Miami Herald managed to score a quick interview with John Cena outside the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.

John had nothing but good words to say about the event and the people attending saying:

“I love the Hall of Fame, it’s the one night of the year for all the people who made this business as great as it is to get together. ... For those who enjoy sports entertainment, I hold the Hall of Fame near and dear to my heart.”

Cena comments on 12 Rounds · Mar 29, 08:22 PM by The Source

The New Orleans Times recently interviewed John Cena regarding his upcoming movie “12 Rounds” and managed to score some juicy information on the plot

“I walk out of the house, I get a phone call from this criminal, and my house blows up,” Cena said. “And that’s where we start with, ‘OK, I’m out of prison, I’m coming to get you, your girl is collateral, but I’m going to put you through these 12 rounds for what you did to me a year ago.’”

Taken out of context again? · Feb 28, 05:14 AM by The Source

A few days ago I posted a clip from an interview done by UK newspaper The Sun. However it has recently come to light that the newspaper presented the interview in a way that made John Cena’s beef with The Rock seem much larger then it actually is.

While John did blast The Rock he also said some good things about him to like:

“He’s genuinely a nice guy. I’ve met him. And a fantastic human being.

“Like I said, he is a great guy. But I think we all know now that he wants to be an actor. And there’s nothing wrong with that, because he’s truly found another passion. He’s good at acting. His films make money.”

As well The Sun creatively edited some of his sentances such as in the article one qoute says:

“At one point Rock loved wrestling and wanted to do this all his life. So explain to me why he can’t come back.”

But when you listen to the audio interview he clearly says:

“At one point Rock loved wrestling and wanted to do this all his life. So explain to me why he can’t come back for our 15th anniversary show or why he can’t make an appearance at WrestleMania. I wish he’d just show up, say hi and leave. Do the eyebrow once and get out of town.”

Cena's Take on The Rock · Feb 26, 05:10 PM by The Source

In a recent interview with The Sun Newspaper, it’s a british newspaper, John Cena took a few shots on “The Rock”

Here’s a clip of the interview:

“He is a genuinely nice guy and a fantastic human being. What I kind of get peeved about, and this is my Achilles heel, is that I’ve wanted to do this my whole life. Rock falls into that category. At one point he loved wrestling and wanted to do this all his life. So explain to me why he can’t come back. Simply put it’s because he wants to be an actor and there’s nothing wrong with that. He’s very good and very successful. Associating with sports entertainment doesn’t do much for his acting career. I get it. Just don’t f*** me around and tell me that you love this. That’s the only thing that gets me really p***ed off. Our fan base have so much admiration for him, he’s got to respect that. He doesn’t give anything back.”

I never realized John Cena had a beef with The Rock?

How did John Cena's Return Stay Secret? · Feb 7, 06:43 AM by The Source

In todays world I often wonder how anything even mildly interesting stays secret but yet I was caught completely off guard when Cena’s return at Royal Rumble.

How did that happen? Well we don’t know 100% for sure, however I cam across a recent Daytona Beach News interview with wrestling commentator Jim Ross that gives his theory.

****

Question: In this day of the Internet, John Cena showing up at the Royal Rumble and winning it was a huge surprise. How did this stay a secret?

Answer: “I can only assume that the few people that did know simply did not talk. The old saying, ‘telephone, telegraph, tell a wrestler’ did not apply here, as apparently only a handful of people knew of John Cena’s entry into the Rumble match. I was not informed about Cena’s involvement and enjoyed being surprised. Cena apparently did not arrive at Madison Square Garden until well after the event started. I was backstage most of the afternoon, and I never saw John all day.”
