John Cena

Injury Storyline · Oct 6, 09:38 AM by The Source

It seems the WWE is having trouble keeping track of which story to run with when it comes to John Cena’s recent injury.

On one hand WWE.com has a storyline on how Randy Orton injured John Cena, but at the same time they also have a video up of Dr James Andrews describing how the injury happened during the champs fight with Mr Kennedy..

August 13 - Monday Night RAW · Aug 14, 01:26 AM by The Source

Last nights main event featured the unlikely team of John Cena and recent rival Umaga facing off against Orton and always interesting Carlito.

Umaga started off in the ring with Orton and after smacking Orton around a bit and backing him into a corner Umaga took a beating after Orton slipped out of the corner as Umaga charged him. This resulted in Carlito and Orton double teaming Umaga, but he managed to fight them off and tag in the champ John Cena.

While Cena initially landed some solid hit’s on Carlito things started to change after being hit with a running Carlito’s boot to the head, you could almost feel the momentum of the match changing, while Cena did recover and manage to pull off some shoulder blocks and even a hard side slam, things got much worse for the champ after Orton saved Carlito from an FU.

At this point the momentum undeniably switched to the Orton/Carlito team as they tagged in and out throughly beating on Cena, however Cena showed us once again why he is the champ by taking the hit’s and still fighting back, luckily he managed to tag in a well rested Umaga just as it appeared he was done for.

However that didn’t mean Cena was done, always being opportunistic he saw an opportunity to setup Carlito for an FU and take the win just a few minutes later.

Summerslam Rumours · Aug 11, 04:36 AM by The Source

A birdy told us that the big wigs at the WWE are finally starting to listen to the fan’s and are planning to surprise us all with a new storyline that involves John Cena losing his belt at the upcoming SummerSlam PPV event, it may or may not happen but with the recent ratings slide and fans seemingly growing frusterated with the product we feel odds are pretty good it’ll actually happen.

We have rather mixed feelings over the possibility, on one hand for the past few month’s we’ve noticed the frusteration many are having and agree that the WWE needs something unexpected to happen but on the other hand we like John Cena as the champ.

August 6 - Monday Night Raw · Aug 7, 05:31 AM by The Source

Last nights Monday Night RAW was interesting as John Cena took over Carlito’s new “Cabana” and did an interview of himself, going into how pissed off her was and listing 3 reasons to beat the crap out of Carlito and destroy his Cabana.

As Cena punched Carlito, Orton attempted to yet again sneak up behind Cena and deliver an RKO, however John turned around just in time to push him away and FU Carlito.

This prompted GM Regal to come out and tell Randy Orton and Carlito that tonights battle with Umaga would be the deciding factor in who would face John Cena at SummerSlam.

The main event match up between Cena and Umaga ended in a “no contest” but both Carlito and Orton interfered and attacked John Cena after he locked Umaga in a STFU.

After beating on Cena for awhile Umaga turned on the two interferers and promptly cleared the ring.

General Manager Regal ended the night by making the announcement that next weeks RAW event would be John Cena and Umaga Vs. Carlito and Orton.

RAW ratings fell sharply this week · Aug 2, 06:46 AM by The Source

Industry types are buzzing after a massive drop in viewership this past week.

Most of the blame so far is being laid at the feet of the Chris Benoit incident and the fact the WWE is still show casing their most over the top muscular talent at a time when the casual audience is espically sensitive to the drug side of the business.

However a few columnists are blaming the rather sporadic storyline’s the WWE have been showcasing as of late!
